Conwy Castle

Again, you can see just how gray and grim the weather was. I parked
down the road from the castle (free parking is free parking anywhere you go).
The causeway is flanked on the inward side by the bay, with the town looping
around it. It was very pretty and would be worth another visit.

Conwy is notable for having had a bow-shaped main hall. This was highly
unusual, and is the topic of several informational signs around the castle.
You can see this most clearly in the photo on the right.

Some of the stairs are walkable, some are not...

The entryways, while not original, certainly add to the spirit of the castle.
And one is famous in it's own right -- the suspension bridge by Thomas Telford
was one of the first of its design.
