London Nov/Dec 2000

The main British Government complex is just down the road from Trafalgar
Square. The guards happened to be out preparatory to the Queen opening
Parliament.

Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament. On the Thames, about as far down
the road from the above photos as those were from Trafalgar Square.
As you can see, a gray and rainy Autumn in Britain...

Looking across the Thames at the London Eye, and the former County Hall,
now home of the London Aquarium and Dali Universe Salvador Dali Museum.
And looking back up the road towards the Square, with Nelson's Monument framed
between the buildings.

The boarding area and lower portion of the London Eye. There've always been
horrible long waits to get on, so I've forgone the pleasure of sitting with
12 strangers stranded high in the sky looking out over London...
And looking back across the Thames to the Houses of Parliament and Big Ben.
